Historically I've kept most of my thoughts in daily notes, with backlinks on each page as a raw collection of filterable thoughts For refining ideas though, thinking more about pulling notes out of the backlinks into the body of the note with block refs

Recorded a video showing a writing workflow in @RoamResearch where you 1. Collect notes for a draft using backlinks 2. Place the notes on the page using block-references 3. Rephrase a block - but keep link to original note by using markdown alias []() youtu.be/Ag_22rnauts

I think transclusion might be a bit of a footgun here. I find that the raw material I write in daily notes is a good starting place for evergreen notes, but almost always needs a rewrite when moving up the ladder, particularly when spread across multiple days.
