Hey @Conaw @RoamResearch #roamcult: any general guidance on when something should an indented block vs a separate page? It seems like it's partly how long the block is and partly how far away in conceptual space the block is from other blocks. What do y'all do?

You can always embed the new page in the original one.

So that suggests defaulting to making every block it's own page, which I guess makes sense.

      I like @andy_matuschak's approach here:https://notes.andymatuschak.org/Evergreen_notes_should_be_atomic …

My thoughts are that if an indented block only exists to support the original note, it likely doesn't deserve to exist as a separate page. If it can provide support to other nodes in the network, then a page makes sense.

Btw have you and @michael_nielsen thought about releasing recall data from Quantum Country? Would be useful for, e.g. replicating Wozniak's many claims https://supermemo.guru/wiki/Exponential_nature_of_forgetting …

Experiences at KA have taught me that anonymizing user data is fraught! But we may run such an analysis ourselves…

Not wanting to downplay the general concern, but what is it about the data you (QC not KA) collect that makes it that sensitive?

Readers have a reasonable expectation that their failure to remember some term for the third time in a row is private. It’s not terribly sensitive, no, but IME it’s best to take a hard-line approach here. Privacy sensitivity calls aren’t mine to make.
