It's all just Markdown. Different editors for different tasks, but Bear (with some eldritch enhancements) for the common case. Lots of opportunity there. Mostly trying to resist shaving those yaks.
You just do links within the note text manually without any shortcut? (Create new file with name of new note and write markdown link to that file). As wrote, would be incredible to see a video of your setup.

No, my tools autocomplete note titles. I type "[[" then some search string. If I'm linking to a non-existent note, then yes, I type "[[Some initial title]]", then cmd+click the link to open that blank note in a new window.
