Museums should publish companion handbooks so I can read all about the artifacts and their context the week before visiting.

Yes, I have no idea how to buy catalogs outside the museum store. But also, the ones I’ve seen were more academic than pedagogical

I feel I want a handbook in two parts, the first of which is almost like a movie trailer (“here’s what to be excited about!”), then you go to the museum, then the second part is a book full of answers to the questions you may have had while viewing
