Software interfaces undervalue peripheral vision! (a thread)
My physical space is full of subtle cues. Books I read or bought most recently are lying out. Papers are lying in stacks on my desk, roughly arranged by their relationships.
It's striking how permanently phrases like "break out of the tiny black rectangle" and "I want to see everything" and "don't simulate the real world" are scorched into my mind. Conversations and magnetized paper aren't so terrible a publishing medium, esp for ideas-in-progress!
