Most efforts around online open-ended activities have focused on: how do we grade students? I think the emphasis is misplaced. *Developing* a skill is different from *assessing* a skill. Students need help *developing* the complex reasoning skills these activities tend to employ.pic.twitter.com/CQxuq1mkz7

One interesting design challenge in this project was to facilitate peer learning without any student ever having to wait. We used model work to cover delays in initial submission, revision and social browsing to cover delays in receiving replies from peers.pic.twitter.com/xdMaQBKeYX
