Process shot. I've been playing with interactive visualizations of the wide gamut color spaces available on newer screens (>= iPhone 7). It's amazing how many super punchy vivid colors are suddenly available, but I haven't seen them obviously used in screen design!

Depends on exactly the context you're trying to use 'em. But, say, the max-brightness ones vs white text? Probably not. I was surprised to see that these wide gamut screens also add a lot of new rich blacks. Here's the part of the color wheel only available wide-gamut at l=9/255:

New devices have way more colors! It’s exciting new territory! We have to be careful though because many of the appealing colors will make illegible text/controls because they’re really bright. Rich blacks are subtly colored blacks. Working on a longer interactive explainer. :)
