It's fun to imagine looking backwards in 2050 at the progress that's been made since now. How many powerful ideas became thinkable through the fluid connective tissue and collaborations Twitter (and successors, maybe) made possible? Easy to imagine answering "lots."

Two weird visual metaphors for Twitter that resonate with me:
1. People+ideas are Brownian-motioning about; Twitter turns up the temperature and adds ephemeral gradients.
2. Twitter creates intermittent "wormholes" on social network graphs, making occasional "long hops" possible.
