    Fantastic scenes in the Gold Coast - despite the rain! Amazing to think that in four years time it will be time for the West Midlands to showcase itself on the world stage. It will go like a flash!

    Great to be at the AGM this evening alongside , talking in particular about the extension of to Edgbaston which will be a huge boost for this part of the city but we know we need to work closely with businesses during the construction.

    The result of today’s vote by shareholders is now known, but the real decisions on the future of the business are still to be made. I’m asking the new owners for an early meeting to ensure their commitments to the West Midlands are honoured.
