Not because of the "malicious" commits in the kernel. None of the 200 patches requested to be reverted are intentionally bad.

And not even because of the accusations. I could understand Greg being emotional here. UMN should have handled the Hypocrite Commits research with better after-the-fact transparency.

The sad part is seeing hundreds of (tech!) people being ready to execute the accused on the spot like that. Without even an attempt to look into the details.

Stop spreading FUD. Greg stated that each patch will be re-reviewed when they will have the time/man-power.

Yes. The whole thing seems to have been a waste of time for everyone involved, including the paper's authors.
If there is any insight or other research outcome to be gained, I have missed it.
