Read "The Curious Case of William Baekeland", a book by about a real con artist (scammed multiple hardcore travelers by pretending to be an heir to a rich family). He was uncovered due to multiple OPSEC failures.

I've experienced an OPSEC failure myself last year, when I unintentionally disclosed the existence of Pixel 4 before its release, and indirectly ended up being in a Forbes article. OPSEC is hard :)
