8/ Having said that, who knows what wildcard could trigger a recession (and who knows what happens with Coronavirus). But I don't personally see any particularly notable bubbles right now. Nor do I see any signs of imminent recession any time soon. /end

7/ Plenty of people think stocks are overvalued, but without a recession, stocks are more likely to get even more overvalued than they already are.

6/ So in the absence of recession, and with such low interest rates everywhere, the (stock market) party continues. Since rates are low, it just causes tons of money to funnel into the stock market since that's the only place to have a decent return on an absolute % basis.

5/ Anyway, with the Fed being very supportive (quite low interest rates), even though economic indicators haven't been great, the mixed economic results don't seem to have enough downward momentum to cause a recession.

4/ However, I think I was wrong and the Fed was able to delay any recession this time around. They switched their policies extremely quickly when the market tanked in late 2018.

3/ Back story: I didn't think last year that the Fed would save us from recession. That was based on the Fed's long term general history of being the ones to often cause the recession as well as their recent history of perplexing policies.

Do any of the silent people have a hard time relating to the social media reaction to the Kobe Bryant news, or is it just me?

Poll for those who have not posted about Kobe Bryant on social media. Do you share the same sentiment/feelings as the mainstream postings or no?:

Nobody trusts Chinese economic data but everybody is now relying on their healthcare data... the medical field is going to learn this the hard way, the same way the finance community has had to

Makes sense: "Because participating in politics is not an effective way to do good, Freiman argues that we actually have a moral duty to disengage from politics and instead take direct action to make the world a better place."
