My concern equals yours, but the broader suggestion, expansion of credit card surveillance is chilling!
Every credit purchase evaluated against your identity profile, by AI models, in real time, distributed to any government agency that wants it? Really? What could go wrong

Not at all. Guys like Sorkin know exactly what they’re doing. This is being reported to put pressure on credit card companies so they’ll feel political heat and deny gun purchases via credit card. These people are boot stomping fascists to the core.

Fascinating. However I’d guess most guns are purchased on credit. Is there another factor to tie in to limit? Just checking credit purchases likely not enough to raise red flag
-
Just arrest everyone with a credit card. Simple.

They're going to try and make firearms purchases with credit cards impossible. Shuts down gun shops. Defacto bans.

Which is hilarious because they simultaneously use the reverse argument to justify weed legalization. “Need to bring it out of the shadows”
-
Whatever they need to do to disarm the populace is justified. Ends justify their means.
