Don't know about that, but the other night , I opened a project I developed in 2 .7 in #b3d 2.8 it opened but I I couldn't go back to using 2.7 after failing to find a layers panel so I isolate which layers to render and which ones not to, like the setup I had in 2.7..😭

yeah 2.8 has totally different layer management. It feels weird at first, but it's much more flexible than 2.79. I much prefer 2.8 overall, but this slowdown is annoying.

Is there an aliasing/quality value somewhere that increases render time VS display speed?

It’s on 8, and lowest is 5. Doubt it’d the cause since it wasn’t a problem in 2.79

I've disabled image compression but it didn't do much. Wheres the GLSL options in 2.8?

Not a Blender dev, but I assume it's writing the frames to disk. I'd expect there to be quite a lot of overhead when doing that vs. just displaying the result on screen (you don't even need to read back the data from the GPU there).

I'm really lost on why this would be happening. Maybe maybe maybe disable your cpu as a compute device? Maybe blender wrongly deems it the best device to render.
