    the other method, BYOFB, allows you to stream a Metal/DirectX/OpenGL/Vulkan texture completely headless by embedding Rainway into the apps render loop (here streaming the ImGUI demo). this lets you stream N instances of your app from a single VM, where N is hardware encoders

    a clarification: while the demo above shows a full Windows desktop the SDK allows for the complete isolation of apps in two forms. the first is through strategic slicing of rectangles on the physical desktop (which requires no code modifications to the streamed app)

    we built our own network protocol that is designed for high throughput and low latency on unreliable networks. it is currently used in production for services such as Xbox Cloud Gaming
