Honestly? Because they don’t really have the authority. They license the Trump name to developers (which is drying up) and the buildings they “own” are technically only theirs on paper.

He does own some of them though, the property in Bedford & Mar-a-lago are just two of the ones owned by the Trump Organization. Many of the places that license the Trump name have 86’d it. Regardless, we are far from the point where we can requisition private property.
