I think Trump is into accusing anyone and everyone to get the blame off of his failure to have sufficient PPE. I did read stories, at least here in Houston, of PPE being stolen from clinics and hospitals, presumably and in some cases definitively by patients or thieves.

At this point they are being rationed and are presumably locked up, which means that whether he intended to or not, Trump’s claim that they’re being stolen implies that hospital personnel are taking them.

I am a nurse in Michigan. Can confirm. My social media was lit up the first two weeks of March with complaints about patient stealing masks and gloves, by boxfuls.
