To be fair, pretty sure he meant that airline and travel is necessary for several other jobs outside of just that particular industry. You are correct about real estate but I think he was tying in other jobs relying on the travel industry in order to function

In NY state our largest employer is the state college system that sadly will be gutted due to the coronavirus disaster. The federal money given to NY is woefully inadequate. He only wants to the leisure industry because it would help his golf courses and resorts.
