7 years ago I was up to my neck in debt. Saved, down sized, lived within my means, payed off unsecured debt,consolidated & worked 2 jobs, which was the only time I made over 50k I now have 3 months emergency fund, a retirement fund which I didn’t have before. Nobody owes you

Congrats! Paying down debt is a fantastic thing! I am almost there. However, if you end up needing to be hospitalized for a long time and/or need very expensive meds you are not prepared. None of are, minus those are are worth millions. Health care is a right.
