My rent is more than $1200 a month. I've spoken to my landlord and she has agreed to hold off on collecting payments until employment starts up again.

That's great as re-starting your lease terms when you commence work or accruing your rental as arrears?

As a real estate expert I would strongly recommend you get this in writing - now, when your landlord appears to be sympathetic. Let me know if u need additional pointers/help.
