Urgent care did swabs for the flu and strep, both of which I tested negative for. I was told I had a viral respiratory infection and that “something was going around” in the area. This was early January. There was no talk of novel coronavirus at this time.
I didn’t have much contact with friends/family until the last week of being sick. None became ill that I know. I was feeling about 75% better when I traveled to Europe on Jan 24. Could this all be in my head? Yes. But I’m anxious that this has been here longer than we think.
Same with me, my fiancé. And a colleague from Washington. Deep upper respiratory infection. Fever. Cough. Doctor said “ I’ve never seen so many people with pneumonia, so just take these antibiotics”. When I told people I was sick “ oh yes I had something that took me out for 3wks
I think a lot of us are walking around with it as we speak. Most of us just won’t be tested for it.

Chinese Case studies show this starting in September. Wuhan was where it mutated to an airborne strain.
