As a veteran, I have a duty to stand up to the abuse of power of States that try to do things like try to prevent me from buying a rifle. Otherwise I'd be an oath breaker.

To be even more clear.... I will buy rifles, of the type that I choose, uninhibited, and I will not be registering them. You can't do anything about that.
