You're insisting on the right to offend people by using a five hundred year old word rather than one of its many perfectly acceptable synonyms. You're playing the same game as people who say the swastika is a Hindu good luck sign.

The funniest thing to me as the OUTRAGE over having to stop using a five hundred year old word that has completely dropped out of common usage -- with good reason -- and which has many, many synonyms carrying the exact meaning. Isn't it easier to stop? And not die on this hill?
