Rule #1 in speech-giving: know the audience. If your audience will likely misunderstand a word, use a clearer one. Yes, pedantry is my super-power.

No one said it did, Andrew. However, Sanders was certainly able to communicate the same sentiment without using that word. Sanders' lack of self-awareness is astonishing. Not a positive trait in someone who wants to lead the free world.
