So we need to nominate someone who can beat Trump.
Every poll has Bernie beating Trump by a larger margin than any other candidate. If that’s the goal, then we should give it all we’ve got, no? Or is that not the most important thing to voters?
1. Post election policies and management are also important. B. This far out, polls about November are meaningless. We need to focus on nominating who we believe is the best person to do the job. iii. Bernie is not a Democrat and that will turn a lot of partisan Democrats off.
Re: Not being a Democrat, it's not about his being too damn stubborn to join the party, it's that he's actually NOT a Democrat, meaning he doesn't share our values. So why on earth would we support him?
That's not what I've seen. Sanders is always in the top 3 of Dem candidates, and polls are mixed, some showing that he would beat Trump, some not, & always within the MoE. Almost all recent polls, however, show Biden beating Trump by a margin greater than MoE. +
While Sanders is not my first choice, I have nothing against him. And I like Elizabeth Warren. But in this election, the first priority must be the removal of Trump. Because if he's re-elected, there may not be a recognizable democracy left after four more years. +

Trump, but specially the MSM will destroy Bernie during the general. . . the fact that he is not getting much coverage now nor is he attacked much at this point is doing him no good
