      BuzzFeed is not a network news station. And I’m not talking about journalists. Corporate media execs whose job it is to sell ads and cater news to please their advertisers are. I wish all 24hr corporate news networks would be done away with.

      Do you believe that journalists should disclose their funding? for instance when outfits like Fusion GPS place hit pieces for $$? FTC Truth In Advertising requires that consumers be told if an article is being placed for money. It should be disclosed as paid advertising.

      There is a difference between BuzzFeed and BuzzFeed News, and the news team is on top of disclosing that information. In general, I don’t think there should be any paid content with news. But therein lies the problem - either charge readers a subscription or sell ads 🤷‍♂️

          I think we agree. Thank you for the reply. My mother was a journalist for 30 years for the two largest papers in Ohio. What I see now passing as journalism, is appalling.
