Btw the key word here is “targeting” and it’s also what makes this very specifically illegal. Can not target a political candidate just as you couldn’t target one employee at a corporation. Yet if every single politician in California were made to do the same then maybe.

The bill requires *all* candidates to release returns. Obviously Trump inspired the bill by being 1st major party candidate in decades to refuse to release but applies to all. Going forward read first then tweet.
