26% of Republicans & Republican-leaning independents say the U.S. has a responsibility to accept refugees, down from 35% in Feb 2017, weeks after Trump took office. Meanwhile, Dems & Dem-leaners has changed little and is at 74%.
No surprise here: whites are considerably less likely than blacks & Hispanics to say the U.S. has a responsibility to accept refugees. Younger adults, women and those with higher levels of educational attainment are more likely to say the U.S. has a responsibility to accept them.
Hispanics are not that far behind.
