26% of Republicans & Republican-leaning independents say the U.S. has a responsibility to accept refugees, down from 35% in Feb 2017, weeks after Trump took office. Meanwhile, Dems & Dem-leaners has changed little and is at 74%.

No surprise here: whites are considerably less likely than blacks & Hispanics to say the U.S. has a responsibility to accept refugees. Younger adults, women and those with higher levels of educational attainment are more likely to say the U.S. has a responsibility to accept them.

I was raised Catholic. Our church helped so many refugees in the 70’s and 80’s. People who are literally dying to get here are trying to save themselves and their families. I support our refugees.

In my very limited experience, there's a huge difference in the Catholics who believe in the social teachings and those who don't (or don't even know.) It's frustrating because the teachings are right there! Jesus! Love! (IANAC).
