UPDATE: I just received a call from the hospital my sister is in. They told me she's been compliant and would like to discharge her. I told them absolutely not and that she has nowhere to go. I could use your help @NAMICommunicate. It was my understanding that hospitals can hold someone for up to 15 days to get a trial for LPS conservatorship. We keep mentioning this to hospitals, but no one has initiated or provided any assistance and they keep discharging her.
I am so sorry that you have to deal with this. People have no idea how difficult it is for families in this situation. It is literally unbelievable and unfortunately one only learns this when trying to deal with the system
