If I were to ever run for office, two things I’d love to introduce: 1) Students must spend 4-6 months studying abroad to graduate high school 2) Give taxpayers a choice to allot a certain % each year towards an area they want (ie. education, the arts) What would you do?

Will the studying abroad be funded by the parents or by public education funds?
Public education funds. Parents who send their kids to private school can cover those costs themselves. Can incentivize it by offering grants to students based on either academic performance or creativity.

Then I'm all for it. Run for office, you have my vote! (Never been out of country due to cost. Not did I ever go on a school field trip for the same reason)
