Seems like a wise decision to me - not sure why anyone would criticize him for protecting himself.

Because the border area is not dangerous & what he is doing is propaganda, pure & simple. It would be like wearing the vest to visit Chicago. In fact, Chicago is probably more dangerous to visit than our southern border.
