You need to do more research. Every year, more whites are shot by cops than any other race. However, most shootings occur following another violent crime, which are committed at a higher rate by black offenders.

While you are correct, there are 160 million more white people in the US so that does play a factor. African Americans account for 24% of those fatally shot by the police, despite being just 13% of the population.

Year after year, it is shown that black Americans are actually 2.7x more likely to be shot and killed by police officers than white Americans. And let's not forget about interactions and use of force against those with mental illness... a whole other layer.

Quick, a guy is running at you with a knife above his head. He's closing on you faster than you can back away. What to do you? Is he mentally ill? Is he on drugs? Too late. You're dead.

My God, you're an idiot. And you're still dead. What if your agency doesn't provide tasers. Now what?

Hell no. He's use less than lethal vs. a deadly weapon. He has no idea. And he's not willing to learn.
