CORRECTION: It is not 200 deaths a day. That number is more than 130 deaths a day for all opioids, not just Oxy. https://www.cdc.gov/drugoverdose/data/statedeaths.html …

That figure is not correct. 70k is all opioid related overdoses about half of which are synthetic opioids like fentanyl. For all prescription opioids it’s 17,000 and oxycontin is not be all of those. And keep in mind most of the prescription overdoses are usually poly-drug.

Thank you. It’s frustrating seeing erroneous information being shared so easily.

If the Whitney wouldn’t bounce Altria I doubt the Goog does, but it’s good to see these faux woke institutions get called out (and I’m on the far end from your hippy self on the spectrum, Andrew ; ) ) This is like the protests at MoMA in the 70s against Rockefeller.

The MoMA thing I forgot was actually an art installation there by Haacke, with the express purpose of embarrassing Rockefellerpic.twitter.com/MQ0v2XIaww

Perhaps they could next head to the Consulate of the People's Republic of China, the Consulate of Mexico...and a few outlaw motorcycle gang clubhouses...

evil, evil drug. I was on it after a series of botched surgeries. They prescribe it so if you disagree with them they can say you are unreasonable or addicted, even though they caused it. I stopped it cold turkey and found out the hard way how scary that is.

That’s incorrect. There were 70K overdoses in the US in 2017, 47.6K of which involved opioids. (Many involve multiple drugs.) So that’s 130/day for all opioid deaths, not OxyContin alone.
