As the daughter of a soldier killed in Vietnam: thank you. And yes, there are plenty of cases of stolen valor--it's really pretty easy to do, just order some patches and get 'em sewn onto a biker jacket. I think Mr. Phillips is awesome and I'm thankful for his service.
Waiting for right wing outlets who smeared Nathan Phillips for stolen valor to apologize for calling an indigenous veteran a liar. Phillips served in the U.S. Marines from 1972 to 1976, but was never deployed to Vietnam, nor did he say he was.https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1087842410292498435 …
