One of Benjamin Franklin’s greatest mentors was a four-foot hermit named Benjamin Lay - a protestor of slavery, who refused to eat, drink, wear or use anything made by forced labor. He also didn’t eat animals. Franklin had an oil painting of Lay in his home. #AmericanHistory
