Might be too beefy but had to write it The four blind spots of consulting: 1. Pro diversity as long as you went to right school 2. Top down executive PPT as sole change model 3. scalable impact > small scale impact 4. Employees see life as workers

It is important to notice that Andrew stresses the "uncanniness" of Total Work. There is something weird about it. But uncanniness also means "Unheimlichkeit" in German, i.e., "non-homeliness". The "homelessness" of modern man lurks in Total Work.

This is one of the things we're trying to do with our course on Deleuze and Heidegger on technology. What ways to escape are there? What does it mean to be human in the age of technology? What is the meaning of technology?

Thanks, Leo. I've found it pretty difficult to articulate what is so extraordinarily uncanny about Total Work. Abstract arguments often receive idle head nods...

Tomorrow I'll be publishing a fairytale on Total Work. It's about a mischievous magician who casts a terrible spell on homo sapiens. And "from that day onward homo sapiens believed and felt that they were Workers." It's a 5-min. read. Keep an eye out for it!
