Wait until gamers find out that TTRPGs use the same game mechanics to resolve completely different situations.

Had to throw away my first attempt at a 3D printing speeds table because printers are getting really fast. This meant the RPG doesn’t line up with the board game so wrote a paragraph explaining about how most space craft components are really long.

It feels fitting to include textile workers as a major element of a space RPG considering how important hand stitching was in space suit manufacture.

So I have to figure out a bunch of things: 1. Are there classes of items that have a common wiring harness? 2. Can people get really good at making a wiring harness from scratch? 3. What items don’t need wiring at all? 4. Are there nanobots that can only build certain things? 6/

Also at some point we’re also going to introduce smart nanobots which are just fungible mass that can 3D print itself into any object. 5/

And from a game design perspective the inventory problems get worse. Suddenly you have 64x the carrying capacity (wiring harness approximate fraction of a modern car) which means a lot more types of items to manage. 4/

And IRL wiring harnesses are hard. But you can easily see a situation where people just carry around pre-made wiring hard harnesses and then pop them in the nearest printer to get the item. This is what I call “rehydration”. 3/

So I have to do some figuring out about what I’m calling “rehydration”. Some history: High Frontier’s approach to avoiding 3D printing become OP is that you still have to do the wiring by hand. This is good because it makes traditional manufacturing competitive and also 1/

The Minecraft account recovery password on iOS is seamless: 1. The iOS keyboard isn’t available when you enter the phone number. 2. The account recovery code has to be entered within 10 minutes. It takes longer than 10 minutes to get to the device.
