I'm sure you know that most local diocese are offering settlements for abuse. They are trying to pay off as many victims as they can prior to any new law. Childhood sex abuse should never have time limits. Victims suffer forever.
Under NY law, most child sexual abuse offenses cannot be prosecuted after five years, allowing abusers to go free. Does that seem right?
