I do not have confidence in the midterms. I don't think a new SCOTUS should be appointed by this President until after the Mueller investigation has ended and I mean ended because Mueller ended it not because he was forced to stop.
The Justice who fills Kennedy’s seat will rule on fundamental questions about our country’s future. His replacement cannot be selected until after the midterm elections when the American people have spoken. #MidtermsBeforeSCOTUS

I would tend to agree with you, however only if trump were a target of the Muller investigation. Since muller has stated officially that trump is not a target, I see no reason to take this stance.
