I do like that we're going to have a system-level photo library; I hope it's successful - and good.
I wasn't still using Aperture due to hopes of a new version, and don't expect to leave it any time soon. Still seems the best option for me.

I would _love_ to have a (good, flexible) system-level media library on Mac, fully available to 3rd party apps. (iOS changes are promising.)

@andrewabernathy it's a hard problem, but not unsolvable. I've taken a run at it a few times here. Hopefully Apple will get there soon.

@andrewabernathy Yeah, I just tried Lightroom again. Still feels weird, and isn't (really) AppleScriptable.
