I get a lot of email from people I don't know that's meant for other Andrew Helms' but this is the most soothing one of all time. The subject line is "Thursday" and people just replied with what they did that day like make vegetable soup or pick Tanner up from football practice

NEW PODCAST: I talked to about the USMNT's most recent World Cup match, the disaster of Jurgen Klinsmann, and US Soccer's inability to learn any of the right lessons. It's not great!

this is very smart on the SOTU theatrics and builds on a lot of what writes about in his book "Audience of One," which is the best thing i've read to understand how a reality TV star antihero ended up president

(it's actually a very good analysis of how data analytics when paired with moral indifference and mckinsey edge-at-all-costs thinking creates sports and society that are both less fair and less fun)
