I'm certain that if it's a choice between being raped, or groped without consent, and having ”no one” opening a door for them, or telling that they look nice, most women would choose the latter. I can’t speak for the type of woman who would defend that monster.

Even if it’s only a choice between walking into a business meeting and having everyone compliment my appearance v. walking into a meeting and having no one comment on my appearance, I’ll take the latter 100%.

I understand it is a lawyer’s job to say whatever they have to say in order to defend their client. Everyone is entitled to a defense. There is a huge difference between a man a opening door for a woman and raping her. Shame on this woman for trying to make them equal.

So, in order for men to show basic manners like holding a door open (and psst women also hold doors open for other women and for men) we gotta let them rape and harass us? Screw it, I'll open my own doors.

Holding doors open is a politeness-ritual invented by a long-dead French king whose only goal was to consolidate power in his own hands. Therefore, a lot of silly distractions!
