To become a billionaire you have to monopolize industry, discipline your work force, push down wages, minimize their share of surplus, have a never ending supply of credit, authority over government and law, minimize public spending to keep people in private debt, collect rents

To become a billionaire you have to distract people from the fact that you have been extracting wealth from them en masse using the infrastructure their taxes paid for, while refusing to pay back into that infrastructure. Education. Transportation. Energy. Health. Housing…

Beyond the assistance from government nearly all billionaires have received, their businesses tend to exploit or otherwise burden the public services they refuse to pay for. Bezos leaves a swath of destroyed bodies and terrified minds on health systems, for instance.
