Fantastic thread. Thanks for sharing! As a Blizz employee (opinions are mine), I’m glad studios have been able to learn from the Diablo: Immortal announce. It’s hard to avoid feeling bad or “jabbed at” when it’s referenced, but, as you mentioned, addressing it is unavoidable.

We definitely saw an increase in mentions on our channels and players thinking it was a jab at Blizzard. It doesn't help that there is already the preconception that game companies are all "rivals" and naturally combative with each other. We all just want fun games to play
