Anyone have any tips for being more comfortable using a laptop as their main dev machine? I've always had a desktop with 3+ monitors, so going to a laptop seems scary, but I'm also getting a bit stir crazy with always needing to be at a desk. #programming #softwaredevelopment

You just get used to it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ spaces on your Mac are useful for replicating the different screens thing and you can multi finger swipe between them

I watch
@andreduvoisin swipe between different screens all the time on his Mac and it definitely looks like a easy way to navigate alot of content. I was planning on getting a@Dell XPS15 though (I fear change), so I wonder what the equiv. experience on Windows is like.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes
The key really is to get good with the single screen multitasking tools. Windows does have multi-desktop support functionality now, but it's nowhere near as smooth as the system Mac has in place, imo. It'll never feel as good as 3 monitors though. (GET A MAC. JOIN US!)
