Apparently, the package never actually left Hong Kong, despite generating events in Hoppegarten. There's a new digital process for customs that just make it look like it was.

I had the same with DHL once. Customs could also not explain why after they cleared the parcel _without_ fee (invoice was missing) DHL decided to send it back to China.

Oh, I had such a case back in the day (20 yesrs ago) when MP3 players became fashionable. I ordered an „iriver“ - it arrived at the airport but never was delivered due to a silly typo. I feel your pain. This is where tracking sucks.
