I'm planning a lot of FPGA gear that speaks TCP/IP and I love using protobufs for PC applications. But I haven't been able to use them in hardware because Google's compiler doesn't output bindings for any HDLs. Time to fix that!

You won't be seeing any of that from me. I don't like PCIe or USB. Ethernet all the way! It's royalty-free, no NDAs, topologies ranging from p-p to multimaster star to complex routed VPNs, and scales from 10 Mbps to 100+ Gbps.
