Codes of Conduct can never replace good intentions, mutual respect and human decency, but in the right hands, they can be an excellent tool for bullying and abuse.
Ohh, juicy! They should talk to a friend! How about giving them tools to actually do something against abusers? Like, say, a CoC, so perpetrators can feel consequences of their actions?

Tools like ... law and police? We have that. No need for private juries based on opinions of privately financed NGOs. There is way too much risk here. This could easily lead to injustice.
-
Again, deferring to law and police ignores the community responsibility. Oh, and ignoring that the community is abused by rockstars for enabling their sexual assault doesn't lead to injustice in exactly which way?
-
You are again separating law and police from society and community. Do you think people around rock stars ("fan"atics) are a good sample to measure global aspects of society?
-
It's a measure of our community and problems that actually happened in it.
