    C++17 approved by the standards committee. C++20 work already started. Once the language gets more features it will finally be perfect.

        By then, C++ compilers will interpret "undefined behaviour" so widely and perversely that Hello World will compile into the Genesis Device.

        CERNLIB/PAW didn't take ages to (re)build. the interpreter was more stable than CINT (that doesn't say much but still) CLing is great. but.

        but CLing and ROOT-6 is such a PITA to build. and deploy. I left C++ for Python, then Python for #Golang. never looked back.

        ArchLinux user. many issues b/c of Py3. a solid hour to build from srcs. (but hey, now everything is great there's an ubuntu docker img :P)
